Task Notes and Historian
Task Notes
The Tasks Notes icon displays when a note can be added to the current document or item. Task Notes are displayed in the Welcome Screen and in the screen associated with the task note.
Creating a Task Note
To create a new task note:
1. Navigate to the item needing a task note.
2. Click the Task Notes button.
3. Click Add Item.
4. Select the new task note type.
5. Enter the task note details.
6. Click Save.
The task note is added to the item.
Viewing a Task Note
To view a task note, open the Task Notes screen on the associated item and double click on the task note.

Deleting a Task Note
To delete a task note:
1. Navigate to the item with the task note.
Open the task note.
2. Click Delete.
3. Click Yes.
Historian
Clicking on the Historian icon displays the history of changes made to the current record. The historian displays the username, type of change, and timestamp and allows you to view the changes that were made at a specific point in time and is not available on all screens.
| Note: Changes to the item cannot be saved while the Historian is open. |
Viewing the Historian
To view the Historian panel:
1. Navigate to the item.
2. Click on the Historian button.
The Historian panel is displayed.
3. Click on a Historian event to see the changes highlighted.
4. Click on the Close Historian icon when finished.
