Getting Started with Sandata EVV: A Quick Guide for New Users
Welcome to Sandata Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), a powerful system designed to help healthcare providers and agencies efficiently manage client and employee data, as well as track and manage visits. Whether you're a caregiver, administrator, or a staff member involved in home and community-based healthcare services, this guide will help you get started with the basics of using Sandata EVV.
Logging into Sandata EVV
1. Access the Login Page: Open your web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox) and go to the Sandata EVV login page: evv.sandata.com
2. Enter Your Credentials: You will be provided a unique username and password via email. Enter these into the fields on the login page.
3. Log in: Click the "Login" button to access your Sandata EVV account.
4. Use the Forgot Password button to reset a forgotten password. You will receive a temporary password via email.
Viewing Client Data
Once you're logged in, you can access and manage client data, ensuring that you provide the best care possible.
1. Use the side menu bar to go to Data Entry, Client module.
2. Search for a Client: Use the search function to find a specific client by name, ID, or other identifying information.
3. View Client Information: Click on a client's name to access their detailed information, including personal details, services, and assigned caregivers.
Viewing Employee Data
If you're an administrator, you can manage employee data in EVV.
1. Navigate to Employee Data: Go to the Data Entry module, then choose the Employees module in the menu.
2. Search for an Employee: Use the search function to find a specific employee by name or employee ID.
3. View Employee Information: Click on an employee's name to access their profile, which contains contact information, and assigned clients.
Viewing and Managing Visits:
Sandata EVV allows you to track and manage client visits efficiently, ensuring that services are delivered as scheduled.
1. Go to the Visit Maintenance Module to view visit-related information.
2. View Visits: You can filter by the fields, such as date, client, employee, or payor. Click on a visit to see its details, including the client, assigned caregiver, and visit time.
3. Real time data: Caregivers can clock in and out for visits using the Sandata Mobile Connect app. You will see the visit data here in the Visit Maintenance Module.
4. Editing Visits: If you need to make changes to a visit, such as adding a missed out-call or task, click on that visit. Learn more about resolving exceptions here.
5. Submitting Visit Data: Depending on your organization's procedures, you may need to submit visit data for review and approval. Follow your organization's guidelines for this step.
