Terminating a Client from the Agency

When a client is no longer receiving any services at the agency, you can quickly end all their client placements, program plans and miscellaneous data collection plans. The client will remain active for the number of days set in Client Care Options and will then automatically be inactivated. This allows agencies to continue to bill for services that occurred prior to their departure. The Sync to DataPlus check box will be cleared on the effective date so that staff do not continue to pick them.

To terminate a client from the agency:

  1. Select Client Care from the menu pane and then select Clients.

  2. Select the client’s card on the Client index screen.

  3. Select Manage Client Placement.

  4. Select Leave Agency.

  5. Complete the following information and select Next.

    In this field:Enter this information:
    Why is this client leaving the agency?The reason from the list of termination reasons why they are leaving the agency. This will be saved in all of their client placements.
    Are there any notes you want to add about why they are leaving?Any notes or comments about why the client is leaving the agency. These notes will be saved in all of the client placements.
    Do you want to update the open placement slots for this location?If answered yes the open slot count for each of the placements that are ending will increase by one. Otherwise, they will remain unchanged.
    Effective Date/TimeThe end date for the client placements, program plans, miscellaneous data collection plans as well as the client’s Discharge/Service End Date and X12 Discharge Date.
  6. Select Close to exit the wizard.
