Manual Visit and Call Backdating Now Follows State Configuration
What Changed:
We have removed the Effective Back Date restriction from manual visit and manual call creation (i.e., Create Visit and Create Call workflows). Previously, users were prevented from entering past visits or calls due to the agency’s system-generated effective start date. This caused issues when providers needed to backdate entries to reflect real-world services.
What’s New:
Manual backdating is now governed solely by a state-specific configuration setting. This means agencies can now create manual visits and calls based on the allowable backdating window defined for their state – not the agency’s state default effective start date.
Why This is Important:
This change allows more flexibility and aligns with visit entry rules with each state’s configuration, ensuring compliance without blocking providers from documenting legitimate past services.
Additional Notes:
- Agency effective dates remain unchanged, but backdated entries must still fall within the agency’s active service period.
- No impact on client-level validation or logic.
- A system-wide review of state settings performed to assist CSMs with communication.
- Change successfully tested for quality and deployed to UAT on 7/15.
Feature Update
Keyboard Navigation Restored for Manual Visit Entry
What Changed:
Users reported when entering a manual visit; they were unable to use the arrow keys to select values for fields like Service and Location. Instead, they were forced to use a mouse or tab through each option, which did not meet accessibility standards.
What’s New:
We have restored the ability to use arrow keys to navigate and select from dropdowns and field options when entering a manual visit. This improvement brings the experience back in line with expected keyboard functionality and supports better accessibility compliance.
