I/DD On-Premises to Citrix Virtual Environment Migration Guide

The purpose of this guide is to provide customers with the steps needed to migrate from a On-Premises Environment to a Citrix Virtual Environment.

  1. Complete the document titled On-Premises to Citrix Virtual Environment Worksheet and return to Sandata. (attached below)
  2. Once the On-Premises to Citrix Virtual Environment Worksheet has been returned to Sandata, Sandata will request that your Technical Contact transmit a copy of your ProviderPro and ProviderPro Admin database to Sandata using the instructions provided on the document titled Transfer Database to Sandata (attached below)

3. Install Citrix on all users’ computers.   Please see the document titled How to Install the Citrix Workspace for PC for additional information regarding this. (attached below)

4. Send a communication to your users to include:

    • Their Citrix User Login and Password - Sandata will set up a Citrix login and password for each of your users and communicate these back to you.
    • Let all users know that they need to complete the DUO registration that was sent to them as soon their Citrix account is established.
      • Note: The DUO Registration link is only valid for 72 hours, so it is important that your users perform the registration step as soon as possible.

5. Once your users have confirmed that they can log into the hosted environment we will ask you for one more copy of your ProviderPro and ProviderPro Admin database so that we may complete the final cutover to your hosted environment. This final cutover will ensure that your users are able to access the most current version of your ProviderPro data.

6. Send a communication to your users to include:

    • The date and time this cutover will occur.
      • Note: ProviderPro will be inaccessible for approximately 4 hours.
    • A reminder that after the database has been moved, users will no longer be able to login to ProviderPro as they previously did and that they will need to login to Citrix to access the software.
    • Optionally you can provide your users the Logging into Citrix and Launching ProviderPro or the Citrix Desktop instructions. (attached below)
