Setting Default Values
To make data entry quicker when adding a new record, you can prefill the value of a field with the most common value so that you don’t have to enter the same value over and over. Users have the ability to set their own default values. In addition, users can set a default value for the database so that the default value, is the default for all users if they have security permissions to do so. In addition, their may be a data object rule or trigger already in place that will set a default value based on other information you enter. System Administrators can also create data object rules to set default values. Triggers are configured by Sandata.
