Adding Notes to Transactions

Staff, Review Log and Approve Log Managers can add a note to any transaction or multiple transactions at the same time regardless of the status.

Adding a Note to a Time Tracking Entry

To add a note:

  1. If you want to enter a note to one of your own Time Tracking entries:

    • If you want to add a note to the entry that is in progress, select the date/time link at the top of card from the Time Logging card or Time Clock card on the home screen and skip to Step 3.

      OR , if you want to add notes to an entry that is not in progress.

    • Click My Log from the main menu.

    If you are a Review Log or Approve Log Manager and want to add notes a log entry for your staff, click Staff Log in the menu, set any needed filters and then select the appropriate Staff card instead.

    If you are a Review Log or Approve Log Manager and want to add a note to a log transaction for a particular Service Location, click Service Location Log in the menu, set any needed filters and then select the appropriate Service Location card instead.

    Step Results: The My Log, Staff Log or Service Location Log screen opens.

  2. Select or tap a block on the Hours graph, select a row in one of the grids or click the Add Note link next to a transaction in one of the grids.

    Step Results: Either the transaction opens in a pop-up or the Add Note pop-up opens (go on to Step 4).

  3. Scroll down to the Notes section and select Add Note.

    Step Results: The Add Note pop-up opens.

  4. Enter the notes or select a pre-defined note from the Insert Template list.

  5. When finished entering the notes, click Add.

    Step Results: The notes icon appears next to the transaction in the grid or on the block in the Hours graph. The notes will appear in the Notes area of the transaction.

Adding the Same Note to Multiple Transactions

To add a note to multiple transactions in the same grid at the same time:

  1. Click My Log in the menu, if you are adding notes to your own transactions.

    If you are a Review Log or Approve Log Manager and want to add notes to the transactions for your staff, click Staff Log in the menu, set any needed filters and then select the appropriate Staff card instead.

    If you are a Review Log or Approve Log Manager and want to add a note to a log transaction for a particular Service Location, click Service Location Log in the menu, set any needed filters and then select the appropriate Service Location card instead.

    Step Results: The My Log, Staff Log or Service Location Log screen opens.

  2. Select the check boxes next to the transactions in the same grid that you want to add the notes to and click Add Note in the box heading.


    Step Results: The Add Note pop-up opens.

  3. Enter the notes or select a pre-defined note from the Insert Template list.

  4. When finished entering the notes, click Add.

    Step Results: The notes icon appears next to each of the transactions in the grid. The notes will appear in the Notes area of each of the selected transactions.
