Assigning Qualifications to Shifts
If the staff require additional qualifications to work a particular shift, the schedule manager can assign them or remove a default one not needed) to/from the shift. In addition the scheduler designates the number of staff that must have a specific qualification for that shift.
Important: Client Qualifications are qualifications that staff also need to have in order to work a particular shift, but are based on the Clients present during that shift. Client qualifications are assigned directly to the client instead of to the shift. If you remove the client that needs that qualification from the shift the associated client qualifications will be removed too.
To assign scheduling location-based qualifications to a shift:
Select Scheduling Locations from the menu and then enter the name of the scheduling location in the Search box.

Select Schedule on the scheduling location card.
Step Results: The schedule for the scheduling location opens.

Select the shift from the calendar grid.
Step Results: The shift opens.

Select Add on the Scheduling Location Qualifications card.
Step Results: The Scheduling Location Qualifications pop-up opens.
- Select the qualification(s) you want to assign to the shift and then click Save.
- Select the number of staff that must have the qualification for the shift.

Select the minus sign next to a qualification to remove it from the shift.
Step Results: A confirmation message appears.

Select Yes.
Step Results: The qualification disappears from the card.
