When the new Nevada EVV system launches on December 15, 2023, your caregivers will likely need some assistance to get started. The following items are provided to help your caregivers with their visits during the transition period and beyond.
Sandata Mobile Connect
Sandata Mobile Connect®(SMC) is the easiest, most accurate way for you to confirm visit information quickly and easily to follow the rules of the 21st Century Cures Act.
The SMC app puts your clients and their needs right at your fingertips. This simple clock-in/clock-out system walks you through the steps to quickly document the visit information.
Caregivers will need to download and log in to the Sandata Mobile Connect (“SMC”) app to record visit information.
Share the following help pages with videos:
If they have not successfully logged in or they cannot use the app for some reason, they should plan to record their visit through Sandata’s Telephonic Visit Verification (“TVV”) system as an alternative to using the preferred method of using the app.
TVV
TVV is a method used to capture Start and End times of a visit, along with services and tasks performed during each visit. TVV is available as an alternative to the SMC visit record process. TVV should be utilized in cases where SMC is not available (e.g., the device has not been charged, connectivity issues). This means a caregiver can use a phone to record details about services that were provided during a visit.
If a caregiver does not have a mobile device, they will have to use the TVV method.
If a caregiver chooses to use TVV, they should ONLY use the phone that is registered to the client’s profile.
Tip: The caregiver can use both the SMC app and the phone in any combination to start, end, and/or add tasks to a visit.
Call Reference Guides
Review the Call Reference Guides (“CRG”) to understand the information required to be recorded during a visit.
When a caregiver arrives at the client’s home, they will call a toll-free number to record the “Start” of the visit, using the CRG.
When the caregiver has finished providing a service(s), they will call a toll-free number to record the end time of the visit, service(s), and tasks during the visit, using the CRG.
Tools to Train Your Staff
Download the NV DHCFP Agency Visit Capture PDF below to train your caregivers on logging in and using the Sandata Mobile Connect app or TVV system to complete their visits. You may provide this document to caregivers for use in the field as they learn the system.
