Demographic Setup Lists

To manage the demographic related setup lists:

  1. Select Setup from the navigation pane and then select Employee Care.

  2. Scroll down to the Demographics card.
  3. Select the setup list you want to manage:

    This setup list: Is used here: For:
    Ethnicity

    Employees: Demographics

    Applicants

    The ethnicity of a person, such as of Latinx or Hispanic origin. This list is not used for EEOC reporting
    Genders

    Employees: Demographics

    Applicants

    The gender expression of a person. This list is not used for EEOC reporting.
    Preferred Pronouns

    Employees: Demographics

    Applicants

    A person's preferred pronouns.
    Races

    Clients: Demographics

    Applicants

    A person's race. This list is used for EEOC reporting. In order to include the race in the EEO1 report, you must select the corresponding EEOC race category for this race.

    • Hispanic or Latino - A person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin regardless of race.
    • White (Not Hispanic or Latino) - A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.
    • Black or African American (Not Hispanic or Latino) - A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa.
    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander (Not Hispanic or Latino) - A person having origins in any of the peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands.
    • Asian (Not Hispanic or Latino) - A person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian Subcontinent, including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam.
    • Native American or Alaska Native (Not Hispanic or Latino) - A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America (including Central America), and who maintain tribal affiliation or community attachment.
    • Two or More Races (Not Hispanic or Latino) - All persons who identify with more than one of the above five races.
  4. Select anywhere on an existing card to open it for viewing and editing or select the + to add a new one.
  5. Enter the Code and/or Description and select Save.
